Refund & Return Policy

General policy

Due to California Alcoholic Beverage Control regulations, opened or consumed alcoholic beverages cannot be returned or refunded. All sales of sealed alcoholic products are final once delivered, except where the product is defective, damaged, or not as ordered.

Defective, damaged, or incorrect items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or contains the wrong items, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at orders@mikesliquors.com or by phone. Please retain the original packaging and, where possible, photograph the issue. We will arrange a replacement or refund.

Refused-at-delivery orders

If the recipient cannot present valid government-issued photo ID showing they are at least 21 years of age, or is visibly intoxicated at the time of delivery, California law prohibits us from releasing the order. The order will be returned to our store and the purchase price (less delivery fees and a restocking fee) will be refunded to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

Keg deposits

A refundable $50 deposit is charged per keg at time of purchase (line item “Keg Deposit”). The deposit is refunded in full when the empty keg is returned in good condition within the return window.

  • Return window: 4 days from delivery for keg pump / jockey box rentals.
  • Deposit forfeiture: if the equipment is not returned within the window, the deposit is forfeited as a rental/replacement fee.
  • Extended non-return: if the equipment is outstanding 21+ days after the order, the deposit is applied toward replacement cost.

Gas tank deposits (CO₂ and Nitrogen)

A refundable $100 deposit is charged per gas tank (CO₂ or N₂) at the time of a gas refill purchase. The deposit is refunded in full when the empty tank is returned in good condition. The same 4-day return window and 21-day forfeiture rules apply as for keg equipment.

Gift orders

If you purchased a gift and the recipient is unable to accept delivery (not 21+, visibly intoxicated, or not present with valid ID), the refund will be processed to the original payment method per the refused-delivery policy above.
